Check out SOMA’s creepy gameplay trailer

After two small yet very fascinating live-action teasers, Frictional Games has finally lifted the veil on SOMA with this all new gameplay trailer. And I must say, this game is looking creepy as hell.

What’s really interesting is that this all-new horror game looks like it’s inspired by the likes of H.G. Giger (Alien’s Xenomorph designer) and the machines from The Matrix. The physics-based interaction also looks even better than before, with multiple points of articulation in the dead person’s arm.

So far, it’s looking pretty good. It’s a gorgeous game, and the scares are there. If this game has a great storyline to match (and the teaser site is building it up as such), then this game could very well be a contender.

Sadly, we have to wait until 2015 to see SOMA on the PC and PS4. Until then, watch the trailer over and over again!

“Cogito ergo sum”…best part of the trailer

I know! The whole thing reminded me a lot of Harlan Ellison’s “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.” If you haven’t read that story yet, check it out, and then you’ll see what I mean.

Kinda weird that we were talking about this a couple of weeks ago.
