Already a hit in Europe, Nnooo’s arcade puzzler EscapeVektor will be seeing a PS Vita release on January 22, 2013.
EscapeVektor is a retro-looking arcade game that has players taking control of Vektor, a quirky entity that must flee from the CPU. Players must avoid enemies and hazards, all the while completing objectives to escape from the nodes.
The gameplay reminds me a lot of Pac-man, avoiding all the enemies while filling out the screen. If it’s anything remotely close to Pac-Man, well, we might have a hit on our hands.
The game will come with 150 stages spread across 27 worlds. Online leaderboards will track who’s the best of the best. To help with the competition, players will be able to score wildcards which can be used to double the points earned in a stage should they succeed. These wildcards, however, will be lost if the stage is failed.
EscapeVektor will be available for $9.99. Playstation Plus owners will get a 20% discount.
