After the cat was let out of the bag with leaks, WB Games and Netherrealm Studios has officially confirmed the existence of Injustice 2. They’ve also released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming game.
While the trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, it does show off the new looks of the alternate DC universe superheroes, as well as new transforming suits that’ll make a functional and vital appearance in the game, as players can customize and equip various pieces in order to power up their fighter.
I assume that this would be for single player only, because that would put a dent on competitive fighting tournaments. With the developers and publishers support of the fighting game scene, I doubt they would do anything to damage the possibility of tournament play. Still, it’s an interesting feature that should turn some heads.
Injustice 2 will be arriving sometime in 2017.
