New Releases – Nov. 5

It’s a new week and various titles are out. Check out what’s available now.

November 5:

  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection (PS3, Xbox 360) – $39.99

With Lords of Shadow 2 coming out early 2014, now’s the perfect chance to see how it all started. This collection brings the original Lords of Shadow, DLC packs Reverie and Resurrection, Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD – which was previously exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, and a demo for Lords of Shadow 2. If you haven’t checked out this series and love Castlevania or some solid action-adventure gaming, you might want to check this out.

  • Journey of a Roach (PC) – $14.99

In this new colorful point-and-click adventure game by Daedalic Entertainment and Swiss developers Koboldgames, you get to play as Jim the cockroach in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Being a roach in an insect’s world, he can’t talk, and instead the residents communicate with signs, leading to an interesting take on the genre.

  • PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures (3DS) – $39.99

While the console versions have been out for a week now, the handheld version arrives on the 5th, offering a side-scrolling version of Pac-world. Players take on Netherworld ghosts, fight off their leader Betrayus, and use power-ups to, well, power-up.

  • The Guilded Fate Paradox (PS3) – $49.99

In this roguelike RPG by the makers of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, you play as Renya, a kid who’s won the lottery to become God. Guided by an angel named Lilliel, Renya must decide the fate of humanity by exploring grid-based dungeons, defeating enemies, and being awesome. It’s a spiritual successor to the PSP game Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman, so if you liked that one, you’ll love this.
