EA and Visceral Games Dead Space 3 is coming out with Kinect support, so if you want to try out voice commands, you’ll have to try it out on the Xbox 360.
A new video has been released for the game, and it features executive producer Steve Papoutsis highlighting all the nifty stuff you can do with your voice now, such as reloading, using abilities like Stasis, using navigation tools like the locator, and even co-op commands, like reviving or trading items with your partner. The voice recognition is supposed to be top-notch, so accents and whatnot shouldn’t be much of a problem.
While Kinect voice recognition hasn’t always been solid (in my opinion), hopefully the developers did a good job integrating Kinect on this one. Only time will tell though.
Dead Space 3 will be available in stores February 5, 2013 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
